Hello there, we are Sima & Tayma, we are both health coaches and nutrition consultants. A cosmopolitan mother-daughter team that has lived and traveled all over the world.  From Lebanon to Turkey to India to France to the U.S, our international lifestyle has exposed us to a plethora of different eating habits, food choices, and secrets to health.  Changing our own eating habits and becoming certified health coaches, plant-based nutritionists, Ayurvedic educators, and yoga teachers helped us treat many of our emotional and physical ailment. Now we are devoted to helping others feel their best and achieve vibrant health.
 

  We love to infuse different diets, research, cultures into our lifestyle (and recipes) which manifested into The Utter Wellness Way of living.  Adopting The Utter Wellness way means no restriction, no calorie-counting, feeling nourished, and radiating from the inside out.

When I graduated with an Engineering Degree and a Masters in Business, I started the corporate rat race. After 22 years in the corporate world, leading a stressful, hectic lifestyle, it eventually took a toll on my body. I was fatigued, living off diet coke and cheese, and suffered from high cholesterol and heart palpitations.  That was the wake-up call I needed to transform my life and to focus on healing naturally.  I was introduced to Ayurveda by Dr. Deepak Chopra, who taught me to live in harmony with nature, body, mind, and spirit.  This led me to pursue a certification in Ayurveda at the Chopra Center. This training also led me to adopt a plant-based lifestyle, which was the real remedy in decreasing my cholesterol by 200 points in less than 6 months.  

 

Inspired by this change and wanting to delve deeper into nutrition, I received a plant-based nutrition certification from Cornell University from Dr. T. Colin Campbell where I studied under Dr.  Dean Ornish, Dr. Michael Gregor, and Dr. Garth Davis. I am dedicated to helping others heal in the way that I healed myself and sharing the magic of living a healthy, nourishing lifestyle. 

 

We created Utter Wellness with a vision to provide a space of wellness to help you reach your potential on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level. We have coached many clients with different lifestyles and problems and we are very proud to have helped people transform themselves and their health.

Hi, I'm Tayma! From high-school through college, I encountered the usual unwelcome imbalances that most teenagers and young women face - low self-esteem, weight gain, acne, chronic fatigue, and migraines.  After exhausting traditional methods of dealing with these struggles and seeing doctors, I decided to take matters into my own hands and shift my diet completely.

 

I stopped consuming packaged, processed foods and became 100% plant-based and adopted a regular practice of meditation. The results were nothing short of amazing - I was energized, glowing, and feeling the best I'd ever felt. My skin cleared up, my hormones balanced and my weight dropped ( lost 25 pounds) and became easy to maintain. That's when I decided I wanted to share the 'magical' knowledge of how something as simple as diet can affect ALL areas of well-being - not just the physical. I want to help others who are going through similar struggles to feel empowered, confident, their very best. 

I graduated from NYU in Sociology and Communications, received my health coaching training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between. I'm also a 200 hour certified yoga instructor from Laughing Lotus NYC.  and
