The roots of the Ayurveda go deep into the Indian heritage and are currently being recognised and studied as a part of medical science. The word Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term – meaning “the knowledge or science of life”.

The two main guiding principles of Ayurveda are:

1) The mind and the body are inextricably connected,

2) Nothing has more power to heal and transform the body than the mind.

Freedom from illness depends on expanding our awareness, bringing it into balance, and then extending that balance to the body. Ayurveda provides guidelines on ideal daily and seasonal routines, diet and food choices, behavior and the proper use of our senses, and clarity in the mind.

Ayurveda reminds us that health is the balance and integration between our
environment, body, mind, and spirit.

In life, a lot of things take us away from the state of balance, we get stressed, overworked, and, overwhelmed. We then overwork and overspend ourselves, which lead us to imbalance. We overeat to satisfy our imbalance and our emotional stress, and we fall into that bad habits every day.

“If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge.

Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. ”
