HEALTHY KIDS

THE SAD NEWS

Childhood obesity has been called “one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century,” and for a good reason. Unfortunately, our children’s health status is alarming.

One-third of children and adolescents in the US are overweight or obese, and this rise is predicted to lead to a decline in overall life expectancy.

Obesity can harm nearly every system in a child’s body-heart and lungs, muscles and bones, kidneys and digestive tract, as well as the hormones that control blood sugar and puberty.

So what can we do?

if it is made in a plant don't "
