4 Ayurvedic Beauty Products You Need to Know About

March 30, 2016

Today Ayurveda is gaining importance in the world of beauty. Ayurveda is a natural, holistic system of healing that is based on balancing the body through the right diet, right routine and right skin care regimen according to your body type or "Dosha". Ayurveda outlines 3 basic steps to daily skin beauty: Cleanse, nourish and moisturize.

What I really like about Ayurvedic beauty products is that they are made with all natural products, which are even edible. As they say “if you can eat it, you can put it on your skin”. Ayurvedic products tend to be divided into 3 categories according to skin types: Vata, Pitta and Kapha type.

Before I go into the details of the products, I would like to indicate that eating healthily is absolutely rudimental for beautiful skin. For this, simply avoid “FLUNC Food” as Dr. Chopra indicate, FROZEN, LEFTOVERS, UNATURAL( processed), NUKED and CANNED. He explains “These are dead foods and our body needs live foods. After one week of removing FLUNC foods from your body you will feel better and look better.” So eating organic, colourful produce, grains and fruits is essential for healthy, glowing and young skin. As Founder of Sundara Holistic said “It’s really an inside-out view to health and beauty. I view my products as little elixirs of life- the bottles are literally alive and thriving with cosmetic energy.”

Here are my favorite brands:

1. Pratima Skincare:

All the products in Pratima’s line are handmade by the founder Pratima Raichur. My favorite product for anti-aging is Pratima Age Delay Serum, which is packed with antioxidants that will boost collagen, reduce wrinkles and enhance the skin immunity. I put it on after using Pratima’s Nourishing Essential Oil. This combination helped my dry skin and my discolorations as well as giving me a radiant and refreshed skin.

2. Jiva Apoha

I just love her oils although a little on the expensive side, but they are so powerful and only need a few drops per usage. The oils are all packed with antioxidants and my favorite is Sundara oil, which is just amazing, and smell heavenly. Angela Shore suggests using the oils as soon as you get out of shower when the skin is moist and the pores open. No need to rub, just pat it on the skin gently. This oil replenished my skin and made it glow.

3. Sundara Holistic

The founder Kiera Nachman insists that her products are to heal and nurture the body and mind. My favorite product is the Brahmi Hair oil which contains Brahmi herb that’s is excellent for brain health and the nervous system. This oil also helps hair growth.

4. Arya Essentials

Arya essentials products are all formulated with the help of doctors from India. My most favorite product is the Intensive Eye Balm, which is made from powerful herbs such as Ashwagandha and Manjistha to reduce dark circles, puffiness and minimizes the appearance of fine lines. I use this product and love how it feels and saw a reduction in my very dark dark circles and my eye area stays hydrated all day.

Hope you enjoyed this…

Namaste ..
