Being healthy involves a recipe of exercise, hydration, planning, self-love, and a balanced diet filled with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. While we might have all heard this before,  it can be difficult to avoid temptation and maintain your healthy eating plan. To help, we’ve found some of the best apps for meal prep, nutrition, grocery shopping, motivation and more.


Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker - Free

This app is so convenient it tracks your exercise and diet in one convenient place. There’s over 5 million foods logged there so you can track the nutrition of whatever you eat.  









Calorie Counter & Food Diary - Free

Say hello to your mobile health coach.  You enter your calories and exercise each day and the app will compare the input of calories vs output.  They also give tips based on your goal and even keeps track of your water intake and vitamins.







Food Intolerances - $5.99

Food sensitivities are on the rise and can make eating healthy somewhat cumbersome.  This app will break down common foods and rate their level of sensitivity according to allergy triggers.  You can select your sensitivity and get an in-depth analysis on how sensitive yo may be to the food you select. 







HealthyOut - Free


Eating out can be a challenge to your healthy eating progress especially in new York City.  This app makes it easier as you can filter through categories such as “low-carb”or “gluten-free” or “not a salad” and you’ll find restaurants that fit your plan.





ShopWell - Free

Your newest aid to grocery shopping. Grocery shopping can get daunting because of all the selections.  With this app, you can enter your health goals or concerns such as “gluten-free” or “low-carb” and next time you go shopping, you can just scan the b bar code and the app will let you know if it’s good for your goals or not.  It also gives you recipes, and and tips frothier dietitian.







Waterlogged - Free

We all know hydration is important but getting enough water and keeping track and be a chore.  This app helps by tracking the exact amount of water.  You can also take a photo of you bottle or cup and the app will track the exact intake.  You can also enter teas, coffee, and other drinks for to be measured.
